iSCM Opportunity Assessment using D-S-I Evaluator and TOUCHSTONE®
Opportunity Assessment develops actionable and benefits-driven supply chain road maps. It consists of three broad stages:
- Discover and Study: A study of an organization’s strategic directions and IT landscape, followed by a rapid qualitative process review. D-S-I Evaluator and Touchstone are leveraged for a quantitative analysis of the client’s data.
- Identify Opportunities: A series of workshops held with clients and SMEs to review opportunities (identified as gaps) in business practices.
- Prioritize: A risk-impact analysis and the finalizing of opportunities and priorities. Business cases with implementation road maps are developed at this stage.
Demand-Supply-Inventory (DSI) Evaluator: A supply chain magnifying glass that reveals a client’s supply chain characteristics and unique market dynamics. The D-S-I Evaluator identifies opportunities by analyzing issues such as demand patterns, forecast accuracy, inventory levels, safety stock planning, and more.
TOUCHSTONE®: A platform-independent tool that can pull data for KPI calculations from multiple systems into its staging tables through ETL activity. It consists of a repository of predefined data points and formula for each SCOR-based KPI. The tool offers the drill-down capability to low-level KPIs to perform root-cause analysis and leverages industry-specific benchmark data from the APQC (American Productivity and Quality Center).
iVISION Visibility & Collaboration Solution: HCL’s iVISION solution provides visibility across the supply chain, seamlessly collecting information to provide actionable intelligence. Coupled with unified communications and collaborative technologies, it enhances collaboration for quicker resolution of issues.
