Gordon Sanders was hired to build and drive the insurance industry business. As a seasoned executive Gordon brings a unique set of talents to HCL. He not only has run large organizations before but he is very experienced in Insurance and technology.
Gordon started his career over thirty five years ago working as a programmer and analyst in insurance core operating platforms. So he has hands-on technology experience, especially in what today we would consider ‘legacy’ systems. Over his tenure, he has worked on both package and bespoke applications dedicated to the insurance industry. He has deep knowledge and understanding of the business as well, as result. Gordon has deep experience with Life (all lines), P&C (personal, commercial, and specialty) as well as other lines of business, such as; Workers Compensation.
During his career he has worked at TCC/Continuum/CSC and is intimately familiar with Life/70, Vantage, LifeComm, and COGEN. He has also worked as the VP, New Business Sales for what is now known as Stoneriver. In the past decade he has worked with PwC, Andersen Consulting, IBM and Deloitte.
During his time in the industry, Gordon has also become familiar with the applications that wrap these ‘legacy’ systems, including CRM, work flow, financial systems (billing, etc.), plus has spent quite a bit of time on advanced analytics and predictive models that are fed by these applications.
Gordon prides himself on building lasting and trustworthy relationships and then being able to deliver on expectations. He has successfully worked with carriers, such as; State Farm, USAA, Fireman’s Fund, Allianz Life, Allstate, AVIVA in Europe and the US, Marsh, et al.
