Our client is the largest owner and operator of private golf and country clubs in the US, with more than 30,000 employees and a growing member base of more than 500,000. They own and operate multiple golf country clubs and alumni clubs worldwide.  

The Challenge

Overcoming barriers for organizational change

Amidst the evolving landscape of modern business operations, our client embarked on a transformative journey towards cloud-based services and faced various barriers in their journey:

  • Organization change management (OCM): Our client wanted to transition to cloud-based services and this requires technology enablement and change management for its workforce to create transformation across the organization
  • Shift from CAPEX to OPEX model: Our client understood the complexities of this shift and therefore sought a partner to help them effectively implement cloud solutions at scale
  • Mitigate risk: Our client wanted to ensure that mitigation concerns regarding system downtime, data security and compliance risks were carefully monitored and the performance of all critical systems maintained

The Objective

Our client wanted to provide a seamless experience to its growing member base across multiple touchpoints with an enhanced customer experience. To achieve this, they were looking to upgrade their critical systems, including enterprise resource planning (ERP) and human capital management (HCM), and at the same time integrate multiple siloed club applications. As part of their vision, they wanted to shift from a CAPEX model to an OPEX model to drive operational efficiency and productivity and reduce the cost of ownership from their investments in Oracle's SaaS, PaaS and IaaS solutions.
