Cerner PowerChart Support Specialist
Role/Responsibilities
- Analyze and streamline healthcare business processes to improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with healthcare stakeholders to gather requirements and provide solutions that meet business needs.
- Identify opportunities for automation and digitization to enhance healthcare process efficiency.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize healthcare workflows and achieve cost savings.
- Monitor key performance indicators (kpis) to evaluate the effectiveness of implemented process improvements in healthcare settings.
Minimum Requirements
- 6+ years of experience working with the Cerner Millennium EHR system or similar EHR platforms.
- Proficiency in at least two Cerner modules as listed above.
- Strong understanding of clinical workflows and healthcare operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good Experience with Cerner Powerchat and CareNet
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and EHR platforms.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance, including HIPAA.
- Experience with Oracle Health Foundation EHR: Clinical /Patient Portal/ Scheduling Management /Registration Management
- Customer service orientation and a willingness to work closely with clinical staff.
Preferred Requirement and Certifications:
- Certification in Cerner Millennium EHR system or specific Cerner modules.
- ITIL Foundation certification for understanding IT service management best practices.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification for managing EHR-related projects.
- Experience with SQL and data analysis tools for generating reports and analyzing EHR data.
- Familiarity with other EHR systems and interoperability standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR).
Compensation and Benefits
A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their work location, skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies. In addition, this role is eligible for the following benefits subject to company policies: medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, life, accidental death & dismemberment, and disability insurance; employee assistance program; 401(k) retirement plan; 10 days of paid time off per year (some positions are eligible for need-based leave with no designated number of leave days per year); and 10 paid holidays per year.
