Job description:
IT Technical Program Management for VM Ware migration
Objective:
- Establish an IT Program Management team to lead a critical VMware migration project for Manufacturing Portfolio across IMG, EU and NA ( Including IT and BMIT managed applications in all of Client’s Manufacturing sites ) . The team will be responsible for the successful planning, execution, and delivery of the VMware migration, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations in each Manufacturing site.
- Team will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage project timelines and budgets, and proactively identify and mitigate risks. The resources will possess a strong technical background in VMware environments, excellent project management skills, and a proven track record of successfully delivering VM Migration efforts.
- Key Outcomes
- Define the program's scope, objectives, and success criteria in alignment with business goals.
- Develop a comprehensive program plan, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
- Lead and manage cross-functional project teams, providing guidance, direction, and support.
- Monitor program progress, track key milestones, and proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Ensure adherence to project management methodologies, standards, and best practices.
- VM Migration planning and track execution
- Assess the current VMware environment and define the target state architecture.
- Develop a detailed migration plan, including migration strategies, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Coordinate with technical teams to execute the migration plan, ensuring minimal downtime and data loss.
- Oversee the testing and validation of the migrated environment to ensure functionality and performance.
- Manage the decommissioning of the old environment.
- Stakeholder communication and management
- Communicate program status, risks, and issues to stakeholders, including senior management, IT teams, and business users.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment on program goals and objectives.
- Provide regular updates and reports on program progress, risks, and issues.
- Act as a point of contact for all program-related inquiries and concerns.

Compensation and Benefits
A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their work location, skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
