Design for Manufacturability (DFM) Designer
Job Summary
The Design Lead for Design for Manufacturability (DFM) plays a critical role in the development of innovative software solutions that align with project requirements. This position emphasizes the integration of design principles with manufacturability aspects, ensuring that products are not only functional but also optimized for production efficiency. The Design Lead will spearhead design efforts, collaborate with diverse teams, and drive user-centered design processes to elevate product quality and user satisfaction.
- Key Responsibilities
1. Conduct Thorough Analysis Of User Needs And System Specifications To Ensure Alignment With Dfm Principles And Production Feasibility.
2. Develop Detailed Design Specifications And Documentation That Incorporate System Components And User Interfaces, Focusing On Manufacturability And Design Optimization.
3. Create Prototypes Utilizing Tools Such As Cad Software And Simulation Tools To Illustrate Software Functionality, Gather Feedback, And Iterate On Designs Based On User And Stakeholder Input.
4. Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams, Including Engineering And Manufacturing, To Create Cohesive And User-Friendly Interfaces While Ensuring Design Considerations For Manufacturability Are Addressed.Skill Requirements
1. - Proficiency In Design For Manufacturability (Dfm) Principles And Methodologies.
2. - Strong Understanding Of Component Engineering And Product Lifecycle Management (Plm).
3. - Familiarity With Prototyping Tools And Software, Such As Cad And Simulation Applications.
4. - Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills To Work Effectively With Cross-Functional Teams.Certification
1. Optional But Valuable Certifications: Certified Manufacturing Engineer (Cmfge), Certified Product Design And Development Manager (Cpddm).
