20 December 2013, New Delhi: The PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry conferred the PHD Chamber Good Corporate Citizen Award 2013 on HCL, a $6.4-billion global technology enterprise, at the PHD Chamber Annual Awards for Excellence 2013. Shri Kamal Nath, Hon’ble Minister of Urban Development, Government of India graced the event as the Chief Guest and presented the awards at a Delhi-based award ceremony.
PHD Chamber Annual Awards for Excellence were instituted in 1997 to recognize Indian businesses, entrepreneurs and individuals for their outstanding achievements and contributions in their fields and to promote corporate and individual initiatives in economic, social and educational areas.

The jury, chaired by Hon’ble Justice Mr V N Khare, Former Chief Justice of India, comprised of distinguished citizens from various fields that included Vinod Rai, Former Comptroller and Auditor General of India, Sunil Kant Munjal of the Hero Group and Raghupati Singhania, Chairman & Managing Director, J K Tyre and Industries, among others.
