The Women Lead initiative is a 1:1 mentorship program for aspiring women leaders that began in Australia as a response to the lack of women leaders in Australia’s top companies.
This year, we’re launching the first chapter of Women Lead Nordics because when we look at the global business landscape, we believe there’s still room at the top for more women.
Enabling a Circle of Influence
Research reveals that women are more likely to progress to higher ranks of leadership if they are adequately represented at the top. To kickstart this change, we’re curating a network that includes leaders from reputed organisations and agencies to deliver career support, guidance and mentorship to aspiring women leaders.
The Circle of Influence is that network. One where we build and engage an alumni group, create partnerships to provide more opportunities for women and enable a connected ecosystem from which aspiring women leaders can draw learnings and insights.
See how the Circle of Influence is here to nurture women leaders of today and tomorrow.
Who can be
a Mentor?
To create an impact on the issue of gender diversity in the corporate milieu of the Nordics, we are seeking the support and participation of established leaders and C-level executives in the upper realms of Nordics’ leading corporations.
So that, as Mentors, they can share their insights and experiences with aspiring women candidates and help them shape their aspirations and strategies, and can successfully climb the corporate ladder.
Why should
you apply?
Apart from allowing Mentors an opportunity to develop their coaching skills, this initiative makes them a part of an elite circle of industry leaders, who together are likely to bridge the balance for the better.
Additionally, apart from exposing them to young talent, it gives them the opportunity to work alongside and interact with a highly-reputed industry leader - the Executive Coach.
Who can be
a Mentee?
Women Lead Nordics invites high-potential and ambitious women from mid to senior-level management ranks from leading corporations of the Nordics to join the program as Mentees.
We call for promising women frontrunners of tomorrow, who are sure to make the most of the program and are likely to attain new pinnacles of growth - thereby contributing to bridging the gender gap.
Why should
you apply?
This platform provides Mentees with a chance to connect with top leaders, who will guide and mentor them, so they can develop the tools required to reach higher positions of leadership.
This experience will introduce Mentees to valuable insights and expectations required to successfully lead organisations. Moreover, the program will assist them in shaping their aspirations and strategies and help them climb the corporate ladder.
The Experience
Each Mentor-Mentee pair will focus on an issue or project proposed by the Mentee in her application. Upon discussing, a project that represents a significant and meaningful part of the Mentee’s professional development is ascertained and a game-plan is devised to achieve the same.
Duration of
the Program
The program has been designed keeping in mind the time limitations of senior leaders. Apart from a launch event, graduation gala dinner and one 90-minute meeting, each Mentor-Mentee pair is required to meet for one hour, at least five times over the 18-week duration of the project. The meetings will be scheduled at mutually convenient times.
Program Fee
The program is free of cost for both Mentors and Mentees. All we ask for is your time and commitment to this cause.
