Transportation restrictions imposed by various governments all over the world, have severely disrupted global supply chains. Challenges in manufacturing, procurement, distribution, and retail are on the rise, leading to major problems in certain sectors. Adding to this, there are consumer related problems where hoarding of essential goods has put unnecessary pressure on the already-vulnerable supply chain. However, the current scenario of uncertainties might lead to businesses leveraging digital technologies, to rebuild the crumbled. Intelligent procurement, and supply chain management and simulation through intelligent automation and analytics, might show the light in delivering business value in the post-COVID world.
