In an ideal world a healthcare ecosystem should provide transparent, ubiquitous and secured access to individual’s health records, which can seamlessly transit between different healthcare players resulting in better coordinated care, competitive pricing and outcome driven health ecosystem. This will result in minimizing care duplication (example laboratory tests) and promoting cost to deliver care evidence based. The center of Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) is attempting to solve this problem through CMS Final Rule.
