If the COVID-19 pandemic had any clear telling on our civilization, then it must be the digital manifestation of everyday life. From groceries to classrooms and music concerts, everything that we can experience is being enabled by a digital platform. While these platforms proliferated throughout the last decade, it is in these times that they have become inevitable. Healthcare, being at the forefront of shaping the course of this pandemic ridden economy, is seeing the greatest action in terms of innovation and technology platforms would play the most critical role in enabling this transformation.

In this context, the two approaches to next-gen healthcare by China and the USA are reflective of the centralized society of the former driven by collective consciousness and the liberal democracies of the west driven by individualism. Despite a specialized focus by individual companies, the patient requires an integrated experience and, thus, all these platforms need to come across as a seamless and unified interface to ensure an ideal healthcare journey.

Know how an integrated platform can truly take healthcare to the next level in this blog post here.

The potential that data science and artificial intelligence (AI) hold to revolutionize the delivery of healthcare is undeniable. The healthcare sector is well positioned to take advantage of what these technologies have to offer since they store and manage tons of lifetime patient data. From diagnostics, interpretation of lab tests and scheduling appointments to personalizing care, finding cures to conditions, and creating new and innovative solutions to long-standing problems like COVID-19, AI and data science offer endless possibilities.

However, compared to other sectors, healthcare lags behind in technology adoption. We have seen how data-led technologies have helped transform the way other sectors deliver services to consumers, and there’s a need to learn from these examples and apply the lessons to the unique context of healthcare.

The age of COVID-19 demands the introduction of new cures and new healthcare procedures to protect us better as we move ahead. Know how AI and data science hold the key in this blog post here.
