Job description:
Lead team to ensure optimum Backup availability of the environment and performance of backup system
Manage Backup (Netbackup/Avamar) and storage (EMC Data-Domain) solutions with 8-10 member teams
Excellent Understanding of Incident/Change/Problem Management procedures
Manage/Test VERITAS Netbackup on various platforms (Windows/Linux/Unix/vSphere/Netezza).
Work on VERITAS Netbackup and Avamar with any operating system platform (Windows/Unix/Linux)
Document and implement changes to technical standards as required
Collate & provide inputs in design environment without breaching the process protocol
Capacity Management of Quantum tape library system and Disks
Ensuring integrity of supported environment and customer satisfaction in terms of technical and operational delivery
Ensuring the SLR adherence given by customers and providing the reports to customer as applicable.
Support supervisor to prepare process/design proposal and share with the LoBs & relevant stakeholders
Analyse the data gathered and propose gaps and areas of improvement to the Customer.
Share inputs with the Customer on the approach to meet these gaps & improvements
Coordinate with the LoBs for communication of final outcomes to respective business units and subsequently to delivery units

Must be proactive in data gathering and issue resolution
Works well and respects other disciplines of the project teams

Ability to prioritize individual and team tasks and projects so that deadlines are met
Other Experience & Education
4 years of experience with scripting, SQL, Middleware and Web components
Effectively contributed to complex, dynamic projects of Enterprise scale
24 7 work environment
- To adhere to quality standards, regulatory requirements and company policies
- To ensure positive customer experience and CSAT through First Call Resolution and minimum rejected resolutions / Reopen Cases
- To participate or contribute on EN business in creation of proposals to drive Service improvement plans.
- To independently resolve tickets & esnure that the agreed SLA of ticket volume and time are met for the team.
- To provide support for on call escalations /L3 level support and doing incident & problem management
- Work on value adding activities such Knowledge base update & management, Training freshers, coaching analysts & conducting interviews/participation in hiring drives.
