Job description:
Role - Enterprise Data Architect
Location – Minneapolis, MN(Hybrid)
Note - Submit Contract to hire candidates only.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enterprise Data Strategy & Architecture:
- Design and implement scalable cloud-based data architectures for large enterprises, ensuring security, compliance, and performance.
- Develop and oversee data governance, data integration, and analytics frameworks to enable enterprise-wide insights.
- Architect cloud solutions on Azure, leveraging ADF, Data Lake, Snowflake and Databricks for data engineering and analytics.
- On-Prem to Cloud Migration:
- Lead large-scale ETL and data migrations from legacy on-prem systems (Teradata, Oracle, etc.) to modern cloud-based data platforms like Snowflake and Databricks.
- Optimize migration workflows using Azure Data Factory (ADF), Databricks, and orchestration tools.
- Ensure scalability, reliability, and performance optimization in the cloud.
- Data Engineering & Integration:
- Oversee the ETL/ELT migration strategy, ensuring seamless data movement and transformation.
- Leverage AI/ML capabilities for conversion and migration
- Implement best practices in data pipeline design, orchestration, and monitoring.
- Drive real-time and batch data processing architectures for enterprise analytics.
- Cloud Platform Design & Orchestration:
- Design cloud-native data platforms integrating structured and unstructured data from multiple sources.
- Leverage AI/ML capabilities for predictive analytics and business intelligence solutions.
- Define and enforce data security, access control, and compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare regulations.
- Leadership & Collaboration:
- Partner with CIOs, CTOs, and Data Officers to align data strategy with business objectives.
- Lead cross-functional teams of data engineers, solution architects, and DevOps teams to deliver scalable solutions.
- Establish data governance policies, metadata management, and data quality frameworks.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- 18-20 years of experience in enterprise data architecture, data engineering, and cloud transformation.
- Expertise in Teradata, Snowflake, and Databricks for large-scale data processing.
- Deep understanding of Azure data services, including Azure Data Factory (ADF), Synapse, Data Lake, and DataBricks.
- Strong experience in ETL/ELT migration, designing modern data pipelines and data orchestration workflows.
- Hands-on experience in cloud platform design, security, and governance.
- Experience in healthcare data architecture, including compliance with HIPAA, HL7, and FHIR standards.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, Spark, and data modeling.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in AI/ML-driven data solutions is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in Azure Data Architecture, Snowflake, or Databricks.
- Experience with metadata management, master data management (MDM), and data lineage tracking.
- Exposure to real-time data processing, Cloud Migration and big data solutions
Compensation and Benefits
A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their work location, skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies. In addition, this role is eligible for the following benefits subject to company policies: medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, life, accidental death & dismemberment, and disability insurance; employee assistance program; 401(k) retirement plan; 10 days of paid time off per year (some positions are eligible for need-based leave with no designated number of leave days per year); and 10 paid holidays per year.
