Senior Design Lead - Harness
Job Summary
As a Senior Design Lead specializing in Harness, you will oversee multiple design teams, setting organizational design standards to drive innovation and excellence in the design process. Your leadership will ensure that design efforts align with user expectations and business objectives, significantly impacting the organization's success.
- Key Responsibilities
1. Leverage Expertise In Harness Design To Create And Review Detailed Electrical Schematics And 3D Routing Layouts, Ensuring Optimal Usability And Compliance With Industry Standards.
2. Lead A Team Of Designers In The Development Of Innovative Harness Solutions, Providing Mentorship And Guidance To Ensure The Delivery Of High-Quality Design Outputs That Align With Business Objectives.
3. Present Design Concepts And Technical Specifications To Stakeholders, Effectively Communicating The Design Vision And Strategy For Harness Systems.
4. Stay Abreast Of Industry Trends And Emerging Technologies In Harness Design, Integrating Best Practices Into The Design Process To Drive Continuous Innovation And Improvement.
5. Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams To Ensure That Harness Designs Are Seamlessly Integrated Into Overall Systems Architecture, Optimizing Power Distribution And Electro-Mechanical Packaging.Skill Requirements
1. In-Depth Knowledge Of Harness Design Principles And Practices
2. Strong Proficiency In Electrical Cabling And Power Distribution Systems
3. Familiarity With Design Software And Tools For Creating Schematics And 3D Models
4. Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills To Mentor Design Teams And Present Concepts EffectivelyCertification
1. Certification In Harness Design Or Related Fields Is Optional But Valuable
2. Relevant Certifications Such As Certified Engineering Technician (Cet) Or Equivalent Are Recommended
Compensation and Benefits
A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their work location, skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies. In addition, this role is eligible for the following benefits subject to company policies: medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, life, accidental death & dismemberment, and disability insurance; employee assistance program; 401(k) retirement plan; 10 days of paid time off per year (some positions are eligible for need-based leave with no designated number of leave days per year); and 10 paid holidays per year.
