Senior Embedded OS Developer
Job Summary
The Senior Embedded OS Developer plays a crucial role in developing and delivering high-quality code for embedded operating systems. This position involves working closely with cross-functional teams to enhance existing features, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely delivery of solutions that meet both client and business needs. The role is pivotal in maintaining the integrity of software systems while providing technical guidance to junior developers.
- Key Responsibilities
1. Maintain And Enhance Embedded Operating System Features By Troubleshooting Bugs And Implementing Solutions Using C And C++, Ensuring Alignment With Client Requirements And Project Specifications.
2. Provide Client Support By Analyzing Data And Resolving Technical Issues, While Monitoring Requirements To Ensure The Timely Delivery Of Assigned Tasks In Accordance With Defined Quality Standards.
3. Create And Enhance Documentation For Capability Maturity Model Integration (Cmmi) Compliance And Client Requirements, Ensuring Clarity And Completeness Of Technical Information.
4. Offer Technical Guidance To Junior Developers By Sharing Best Practices And Coding Standards In Embedded Systems Development, Fostering A Culture Of Knowledge Sharing And Continuous Improvement.
5. Collaborate With Customers And Internal Teams To Gather And Refine Requirements For New Development Projects, Ensuring That All Aspects Of The Project Align With Functional And Technical Expectations.Skill Requirements
1. Strong Understanding Of Embedded Os Development Using C And C++.
2. Familiarity With Troubleshooting Techniques And Debugging Tools For Embedded Systems.
3. Basic Knowledge Of Cmmi Documentation Standards And Practices.
4. Good Communication Skills To Interact Effectively With Clients And Team Members.
5. Experience In Requirement Gathering And Analysis For Software Development Projects.Certification
1. Optional But Valuable Certifications Include Certified Embedded Systems Engineer (Cese) Or Cmmi Associate Certification.
Compensation and Benefits
A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their work location, skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies. In addition, this role is eligible for the following benefits subject to company policies: medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, life, accidental death & dismemberment, and disability insurance; employee assistance program; 401(k) retirement plan; 10 days of paid time off per year (some positions are eligible for need-based leave with no designated number of leave days per year); and 10 paid holidays per year.
