Senior Test Lead - BIOS Validation
Job Summary
The Senior Test Lead in BIOS Validation plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of BIOS firmware through comprehensive testing strategies. This position is responsible for developing and executing detailed test plans aligned with project requirements, collaborating with cross-functional teams to define testing objectives, and driving continuous improvements in testing processes and methodologies. The role significantly impacts the overall product quality and performance, ensuring that the BIOS meets both functional and technical standards.
- Key Responsibilities
1. Engage In Functional And Technical Discussions With Clients And Team Members To Analyze Functional And Design Specifications, Identify Performance Concerns, And Ensure That Appropriate Test Environments And Infrastructures Are Maintained And Up To Date.
2. Identify Opportunities For Process Improvement In Bios Testing Methodologies And Tools, Implementing Best Practices To Enhance The Efficiency And Effectiveness Of Testing Processes.
3. Oversee The Creation And Execution Of Automated Test Scripts Using Tools Such As Python And Selenium, Ensuring Consistency With Quality Standards And Minimizing Exposure To Defects.
4. Develop, Guide, And Mentor Qa Engineers In Utilizing The Bios Testing Framework And Tools, Enhancing Their Technical Capabilities And Increasing Overall Team Productivity.Skill Requirements
1. Strong Proficiency In Bios Validation Methodologies And Testing Frameworks
2. Experience With Automated Testing Tools And Scripting Languages Like Python And Selenium
3. Solid Understanding Of Firmware Testing Processes And Performance Metrics
4. In-Depth Knowledge Of Test Planning, Execution, And Reporting In Embedded Systems
5. Excellent Problem-Solving Skills And Attention To DetailCertification
1. Optional But Valuable Certifications: Certified Software Tester (Cste), Istqb Certified Tester Advanced Level Test Manager, Or Relevant Bios-Specific Training Certifications.
Compensation and Benefits
A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their work location, skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies. In addition, this role is eligible for the following benefits subject to company policies: medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, life, accidental death & dismemberment, and disability insurance; employee assistance program; 401(k) retirement plan; 10 days of paid time off per year (some positions are eligible for need-based leave with no designated number of leave days per year); and 10 paid holidays per year.
