Job description:
PLE Lab Technician JD:Need a PLE Lab Technician Primary role is Lab manager. They will get devices from new programs and maintain inventory as they are distributed among PLE developers also other miscellaneous equipment that needs to be tracked. There will also be work to set up, help perform certain debug/rework - on a selection of devices set up as remote debug stations. This position is Redmond onsite at Bldg 88 not remote.ResponsibilitiesManage device inventory, including: Implementing improvements to inventory tracking procedures, including migrating information from Excel to a database Recording new equipment in inventory system Checking accuracy of inventory and responding to ad hoc inventory audits Create queries and reports that aid team leaders in decisions to acquire or dispose of items Some occasional moderate lifting of test equipment is necessary, including above shoulder height. Remote Debug Device setup / Maintenance Setup and maintain Windows PCs in racks for automated builds and testing, including wiring power and network connections, plus installing and configuring test software. Capture debug logs and traces from failing systems; occasionally aid the team in replicating failures. Debug failing devices - including cabling, software, hardware errors. Running tools and scripts to get debug data and/or perform needed test and debug scenarios Good trouble shooting and self starter ability neededRequired Qualifications Lab inventory/management experience Good organizational skills A proactive communicatorPreferred Qualifications Prior experience with Microsoft TFS or Azure DevOps is a plus Some scripting and or Software experience
- Key Responsibilities
1. To create & review the Test Cases from the Functional Specifications / Software Requirement Specification document.
2. To test the Functionality as per the Test plan and respective Test Cases..
3. To contributes while test plans are developed as per the work assigned.
4. To track test coverage, defect density, other relevant metrics, and publish progress reports.
5. To coordinate with team (for discussions) and interact with client (for updates).
Compensation and Benefits
A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their work location, skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
