Job description:
Role: Sr Technical Lead Spring Boot
Location: San Antonio, TX
Job Summary:
The Senior Technical Lead in Java/J2EE, REST, and Spring Boot will be responsible for leading and architecting technical solutions in Java/J2EE technologies, RESTful APIs, and Spring Boot framework to meet business requirements. This role will involve providing technical guidance and leadership to the development team, ensuring high-quality code delivery, and optimizing system performance.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technical Lead to drive the design, development, and deployment of enterprisegrade solutions using OpenText Documentum, Java Spring Boot, and AWS Cloud Services. The ideal candidate will lead technical teams, architect scalable solutions, and ensure seamless integration of content management systems with modern cloudnative applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end solution architecture and development using OpenText Documentum and Java Spring Boot.
Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance applications on AWS.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, DevOps, QA, and product owners.
Migrate legacy Documentum applications to cloud-native architectures.
Define best practices for content management, metadata modeling, and document lifecycle workflows.
Ensure compliance with enterprise security and governance standards.
Mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews to maintain high-quality standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the stack.
Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend adoption where appropriate.
Required Skills:
10+ years of experience in enterprise application development.
5+ years of hands-on experience with OpenText Documentum D2, xCP, Webtop, Content Server.
Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful API development.
Solid experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, CloudFormation, and IAM.
Experience in integrating Documentum with external systems using APIs and connectors.
Familiarity with CICD pipelines, Git, Jenkins, and containerization DockerKubernetes.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
OpenText certifications (Documentum or related).
Experience with other ECM platforms or migration tools.
Knowledge of microservices architecture and event-driven systems.
Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Compensation and Benefits
A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their work location, skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
