We are seeking an experienced MES Functional Consultant with strong manufacturing process knowledge and expertise in requirement gathering for MES system implementation. The role will require excellent requirement gathering skills to capture both business and technical needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather and document business requirements from stakeholders, including production teams and IT to ensure the MES system effectively supports operations.
- Conduct workshops, facilitate discussions, utilize techniques such as process mapping, user stories and gap analysis to define user requirements.
- Leverage the experience from requirement specifications phase to build test scenarios and test cases.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure MES is seamlessly integrated with other systems, including Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP, and IT/OT interfaces. Get trained on the functional MES solution during the project. Test & validate the functionalities deployed during every sprint.
- Provide hands-on support during system testing, SIT, UAT, implementation, and go-live, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption to operations also train users on the functionalities, perform minor configurations as needed. Collaborate with the application vendor for system readiness.
- Offer post-implementation support, including training and troubleshooting, to ensure users are equipped to leverage the MES solution effectively.
- Proven experience in MES System implementations with a strong focus on system configuration.
- Strong manufacturing process knowledge and understanding of how IT/OT systems interact within a manufacturing and warehouse environment.
- Demonstrated experience in requirement gathering and creating functional specifications based on business needs.
- Fluency in English, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Understanding on integration of MES with other manufacturing related applications is a major advantage. Should have knowledge/experience integrating MES with ERP system.
- Familiarity with database management and SQL, enabling effective data handling, querying, and reporting within MES environments.
- Knowledge of industrial automation and control systems, with a solid understanding of how MES interfaces with shop floor machinery and automation to enhance production efficiency and control.
Compensation and Benefits
A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their work location, skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies. In addition, this role is eligible for the following benefits subject to company policies: medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, life, accidental death & dismemberment, and disability insurance; employee assistance program; 401(k) retirement plan; 10 days of paid time off per year (some positions are eligible for need-based leave with no designated number of leave days per year); and 10 paid holidays per year.
