Senior Design Lead - Manufacturing Process Planning
Job Summary
The Senior Design Lead is responsible for overseeing multiple design teams specializing in Manufacturing Process Planning. This role is pivotal in establishing organizational design standards, driving innovation in design processes, and ensuring that design initiatives significantly contribute to achieving business objectives. The Senior Design Lead will leverage their expertise to enhance user experiences while fostering a collaborative and high-performing design environment.
- Key Responsibilities
1. Utilize Manufacturing Process Planning Expertise To Develop And Implement Design Strategies That Ensure Products And Services Are User-Friendly And Intuitive, Effectively Aligning With User Expectations And Enhancing Overall Usability.
2. Lead Cross-Functional Design Teams, Providing Mentorship And Direction To Ensure The Delivery Of Innovative And High-Quality Design Solutions That Support The Strategic Business Goals.
3. Present And Advocate For Design Concepts To Stakeholders, Playing A Vital Role In Defining And Shaping The Overarching Design Vision And Strategy For Manufacturing Processes.
4. Conduct Ongoing Research On Industry Trends And Emerging Technologies In Manufacturing Design, Leveraging Insights To Drive Innovation, Excellence, And Competitive Advantage In Design Practices.Skill Requirements
1. Advanced Proficiency In Manufacturing Process Planning Methodologies And Tools.
2. Strong Understanding Of User-Centered Design Principles And Practices.
3. Excellent Leadership And Team Management Skills, With The Ability To Inspire And Motivate Design Teams.
4. Solid Expertise In Project Management, Enabling Effective Coordination Of Design Projects And Initiatives.
5. In-Depth Knowledge Of Design Software And Technologies Relevant To Manufacturing Process Planning.Certification
1. Optional But Valuable Certifications: Certified Manufacturing Engineer (Cmfge), Six Sigma Green Belt, Or Lean Certification.
Compensation and Benefits
A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their work location, skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies. In addition, this role is eligible for the following benefits subject to company policies: medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, life, accidental death & dismemberment, and disability insurance; employee assistance program; 401(k) retirement plan; 10 days of paid time off per year (some positions are eligible for need-based leave with no designated number of leave days per year); and 10 paid holidays per year.
