Job description:
Title: Sr. Buyer
Location: Milpitas, CA
JD:
Pull drawing Packages for new quotes for Production and End of Life Components for assigned commodities. · Manage procurement of raw material for Production and NPI Products by interacting as needed with Product Development, Engineering, Document Control and Planning while managing buyer owned interactions with Incoming Quality Assurance, Shipping, Receiving, Warehouse, and RTS (Return to Supplier). · Be accountable for RTS process while meeting target timelines. · Support timely resolution to invoice payment issues. · Appropriately and in a timely manner escalate raw material issues to management, Source, and through STEM process to avoid or minimize supply disruptions. · Support Source driven Cost Savings initiatives/projects while maintaining On Time Delivery Performance. · Complete and Maintain Purchasing Site Records of “Compliance Wire” actions required by FDA. · Develop and maintain communications with Suppliers on deliveries to maintain On Time Performance and send monthly forecast requirements. · Train new buyers and provide general support to purchasing team. · Support audits related to purchasing area. · Support efforts to encourage “one team” culture across site, and Global J&J Purchasing teams.
Compensation and Benefits
A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their work location, skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies. In addition, this role is eligible for the following benefits subject to company policies: medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, life, accidental death & dismemberment, and disability insurance; employee assistance program; 401(k) retirement plan; 10 days of paid time off per year (some positions are eligible for need-based leave with no designated number of leave days per year); and 10 paid holidays per year.
