Senior Tester with analytics - functional testing,sql
Job Summary
This position involves conducting functional testing in the analytics field with a focus on SQL. The primary responsibilities include ensuring the quality and performance of data analytics solutions through comprehensive testing protocols.
- Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for various analytics functionalities
2. Conduct functional testing to verify the accuracy and efficiency of sql queries and data manipulation procedures
3. Collaborate with development teams to identify and resolve defects in the analytics solutions
4. Perform regression testing to validate software updates and ensure no adverse impact on existing functionalities
5. Document test results, track defects, and provide detailed reports to stakeholders
6. Stay updated on testing best practices and emerging trends in analytics quality assurance
Skill Requirements
1. Solid understanding of functional testing methodologies, particularly in an analytics environment
2. Strong experience in writing and executing sql queries for data validation and testing
3. Knowledge of data manipulation techniques and familiarity with analytics tools
4. Analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot and problem solve effectively
5. Good communication skills to collaborate with cross functional teams and stakeholders
6. Detail oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality testing outputs within set timelines
Compensation and Benefits
A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their work location, skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies. In addition, this role is eligible for the following benefits subject to company policies: medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, life, accidental death & dismemberment, and disability insurance; employee assistance program; 401(k) retirement plan; 10 days of paid time off per year (some positions are eligible for need-based leave with no designated number of leave days per year); and 10 paid holidays per year.
