Senior Manual Tester
Job Summary
The Senior Manual Tester is responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of software applications through comprehensive testing practices. This role plays a critical part in validating software code against specified requirements and quality standards, ensuring that client expectations are met effectively and efficiently.
- Key Responsibilities
1. Create And Review Test Cases Based On Functional Specifications And Software Requirement Specification Documents, Ensuring Alignment With Quality Standards.
2. Execute Functionality Tests In Accordance With The Test Plan And Respective Test Cases, Identifying Any Discrepancies Or Defects.
3. Contribute To The Development Of Test Plans By Providing Insights From Assigned Testing Activities And Enhancing Testing Strategies.
4. Track Test Coverage, Defect Density, And Other Relevant Metrics, And Compile Progress Reports For Stakeholders To Ensure Transparency In The Testing Process.
5. Coordinate With The Team For Discussions Regarding Testing Activities And Interact With Clients To Provide Updates On Testing Status And Defect Resolution.Skill Requirements
1. Strong Understanding Of Manual Testing Methodologies And Practices.
2. Familiarity With Test Case Creation And Review Processes.
3. Basic Knowledge Of Defect Tracking Tools And Metrics Analysis.
4. Proficiency In Documenting Test Results And Preparing Progress Reports.
5. Good Communication Skills For Effective Coordination With Team Members And Clients.Certification
1. Istqb Certified Tester Foundation Level (Ctfl) Optional But Valuable.
2. Relevant Certifications In Quality Assurance And Testing Methodologies Are Encouraged.
Compensation and Benefits
A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their work location, skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies. In addition, this role is eligible for the following benefits subject to company policies: medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, life, accidental death & dismemberment, and disability insurance; employee assistance program; 401(k) retirement plan; 10 days of paid time off per year (some positions are eligible for need-based leave with no designated number of leave days per year); and 10 paid holidays per year.
