Technical Lead - Embedded Firmware Design
Job Summary
The Technical Lead for Embedded Firmware Design plays a crucial role in driving technological excellence within the organization. This position involves overseeing projects, providing expert technical guidance, and ensuring adherence to best practices. The Technical Lead will enhance team productivity and foster skill development while ensuring that project deliverables meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.
- Key Responsibilities
1. Provide Technical Guidance And Solutions By Defining, Advocating, And Implementing Best Practices And Coding Standards In Embedded Firmware Development Using C/C++ And Real-Time Operating Systems (Rtos), Ensuring High-Quality Outputs From The Team.
2. Mentor And Guide Team Members In Embedded Firmware Design Principles And Development Methodologies, Enhancing Their Technical Capabilities And Productivity.
3. Ensure Process Compliance In The Assigned Module By Conducting Technical Discussions And Reviews As A Consultant For Feasibility Studies, Evaluating Technical Alternatives, Architectures, And Managing Technical Risks.
4. Prepare And Submit Comprehensive Status Reports To Minimize Exposure And Risks On The Project, Ensuring Timely Closure Of Escalations And Effective Communication With Stakeholders.Skill Requirements
1. Strong Understanding Of Embedded Systems Design And Development Principles, With Proficiency In Programming Languages Such As C And C++.
2. Solid Experience With Real-Time Operating Systems (Rtos) And Hardware-Software Integration.
3. In-Depth Knowledge Of Debugging, Validation, And Testing Methodologies For Embedded Firmware.
4. Familiarity With Version Control Systems And Software Development Life Cycle (Sdlc) Processes.Certification
1. Optional But Valuable Certifications: Certified Embedded Systems Engineer (Cese), Or Similar Certifications Relevant To Embedded Systems And Firmware Development.
Compensation and Benefits
A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their work location, skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies. In addition, this role is eligible for the following benefits subject to company policies: medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, life, accidental death & dismemberment, and disability insurance; employee assistance program; 401(k) retirement plan; 10 days of paid time off per year (some positions are eligible for need-based leave with no designated number of leave days per year); and 10 paid holidays per year.
