Test Lead - Automotive HIL Testing
Job Summary
The Test Lead for Automotive HIL Testing plays a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of testing strategies that meet both client and internal quality standards. This position is responsible for planning, deploying, and managing comprehensive testing efforts for automotive systems, ensuring that all functionalities are rigorously validated. The role significantly impacts project outcomes by facilitating effective communication among stakeholders and driving continuous improvements in testing processes.
- Key Responsibilities
1. Engage In Functional And Technical Discussions With Clients And Team Members To Thoroughly Understand Specifications, Highlighting Performance Concerns And Inconsistencies, While Preparing Automated Test Scripts And Maintaining A Robust Test Case Suite In Automotive Hil Environments.
2. Develop And Enhance Automated Testing Processes As New System Features Are Introduced, Creating Detailed Work Plans And Closely Monitoring Schedules To Ensure Timely Delivery In Accordance With Established Quality Standards.
3. Design And Implement A Reusable And Scalable Test Automation Framework, Formulating Comprehensive Test Strategies And Plans, Maintaining Test Data, And Submitting Detailed Status Reports To Mitigate Project Risks And Facilitate Timely Issue Resolution.
4. Foster The Growth Of Qa Engineers Through Guidance And Mentorship In Utilizing The Testing Framework, Enhancing Their Technical Skills, And Increasing Overall Productivity Within The Testing Team.Skill Requirements
1. Strong Understanding Of Automotive Hil Testing Methodologies And Tools.
2. Proficiency In Developing Automated Test Scripts And Maintaining Test Case Suites.
3. Knowledge Of Embedded Systems Testing And Relevant Testing Frameworks.
4. Ability To Create Test Strategies And Plans That Align With Project Requirements.
5. Familiarity With Performance Testing And Identifying Inconsistencies In System Specifications.Certification
1. Optional But Valuable Certifications: Istqb Foundation Level Or Equivalent In Testing Methodologies.
Compensation and Benefits
A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their work location, skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies. In addition, this role is eligible for the following benefits subject to company policies: medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, life, accidental death & dismemberment, and disability insurance; employee assistance program; 401(k) retirement plan; 10 days of paid time off per year (some positions are eligible for need-based leave with no designated number of leave days per year); and 10 paid holidays per year.
