Test Specialist - Embedded Device Testing
Job Summary
As a Test Specialist focusing on Embedded Device Testing, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our embedded systems. You will analyze business requirements to derive comprehensive test strategies and manage all phases of testing. Your expertise will drive the implementation of effective test plans, enhance test efficiency through automation, and collaborate closely with development teams to ensure timely defect resolution, ultimately contributing to the success of our high-quality deliverables.
- Key Responsibilities
1. Design And Execute Comprehensive Test Plans And Test Cases For Embedded Software Modules And Features Utilizing Python And Embedded Testing Tools, Ensuring Thorough Coverage Of Functional And Performance Requirements.
2. Employ Automation Tools And Frameworks To Enhance Testing Efficiency For Various Testing Types, Including Functional, Regression, Usability, And Api Testing, Specifically Tailored For Embedded Environments.
3. Leverage Python Scripts To Identify, Reproduce, And Document Software Defects In Embedded Systems, Adhering To Established Quality Assurance Procedures.
4. Partner Proactively With Development Teams To Analyze, Prioritize, And Validate Defect Resolutions, Actively Participating In Test Reviews To Promote Continuous Improvement And Share Best Practices.
5. Stay Current With The Latest Trends And Technologies In Embedded Device Testing And Contribute To The Creation And Maintenance Of Robust Test Automation Frameworks And Libraries.Skill Requirements
1. Expert Proficiency In Embedded Device Testing And Test Automation Methodologies.
2. Strong Knowledge Of Python Programming And Its Application In Test Automation.
3. In-Depth Understanding Of Various Testing Methodologies Including Functional, Regression, Usability, And Api Testing.
4. Excellent Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With A Focus On Defect Identification And Resolution.
5. Ability To Collaborate Effectively In A Team-Oriented Environment And Drive Quality Initiatives.Certification
1. Optional But Valuable Certifications: Istqb Advanced Test Analyst, Certified Software Tester (Cste),
Compensation and Benefits
A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their work location, skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies. In addition, this role is eligible for the following benefits subject to company policies: medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, life, accidental death & dismemberment, and disability insurance; employee assistance program; 401(k) retirement plan; 10 days of paid time off per year (some positions are eligible for need-based leave with no designated number of leave days per year); and 10 paid holidays per year.
