HCL’s solution focused on enabling SSO across web-based applications. Basic SSO implementation (user ID and password) is delivered by deployment and configuration of a market leading Access Manager.

  • Access Manager verifies all traffic to web resources and performs an audit. All policies are applied centrally and enforced by Web Gates residing on the web servers, to deliver very high security SSO
  • Self-service capabilities allow:
    • Users to manage their own passwords across managed resources. Customizable questions allow users to easily retrieve forgotten passwords.
    • End users to view, manage and update their own profile data.
  • Very rich password policy management provides:
    • Excellent password complexity including, password length, alphanumeric and special characters usage, upper and lower case usage, full or partial exclusion of username and historical passwords.
    • Application of multiple policies per resource. Administrators can specify access levels for each resource to be provisioned, granting only the level of access required to perform the job, based on the user role or attributes.
  • Segregated approval and business workflows.
  • Comprehensive reporting and auditing capability captures all necessary data to answer the question “Who has access to What, When, How, and Why?”
