
Marc Barad is the Senior Principal and Global Head of HCL’s Banking & Payments Solutions Practice. Marc leads a team of Principals who create and deliver innovative digital banking modernization and transformation solutions. He has 25+ years of experience in banking and mortgage software sales and IT and consulting services. As a key member of HCL’s Global Banking team, Marc provides thought leadership and subject matter expertise in the areas of digital innovation, consumer/ commercial/ mortgage lending, retail/ corporate core bank processing, electronic payments, and cash management.
Prior to joining HCL, Marc worked at two other Global IT consulting companies where he led the sales and delivery of advisory services and systems integration to leading US banks and lenders such as Wells Fargo, JPMC, Citi, and Union Bank. As part of those efforts, he was responsible for driving the first core banking transformation sale in the US. In addition, he worked directly with one of the largest banking institutions in the world on their ambitious 5-year journey to standardize their core banking system across international boundaries.
Marc began his career at FIS, where he worked for 7+ years managing conversions and implementations of consumer lending, electronic payments/ cash management systems and core banking software solutions to US clients. Following his 10+ years in the banking software industry, he worked at First American/ CoreLogic in a mortgage settlement services joint venture. He has spent the last 10+ years as a consultant in various leadership roles with companies such as Deloitte, Wipro, and Infosys.
Marc holds a bachelors degree in Computer Science from UCSB and obtained his Masters in Business Administration from USC in 1995.
Marc lives in the US with his wife and two children ages 14 and 17. He is an avid baseball fan and roots for his hometown Dodgers.
