Tech Program Manager
Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage projects within the pharmaceutical commercial data management domain from initiation to closure.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, project teams and do extensive project planning and lead the project
- Oversee and tightly manage development, implementation, and maintenance of data platforms, integrations, and tools relevant to commercial data (e.g., sales data, patient claims, CRM data) as per plan.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, resources, and deliverables, ensuring adherence to project scope and quality standards.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with data management projects, ensuring data security and compliance with relevant regulations
- Facilitate communication and collaboration between cross-functional teams, including business users, IT specialists, data analysts, and vendors.
- Provide regular project updates and reports to stakeholders, senior management, and clients, ensuring transparency and timely communication of progress, risks, and issues.
- Champion process improvement initiatives within commercial data management, identifying opportunities to enhance data quality, efficiency, and effectiveness.
- Manage and mentor project team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment
- Ability to understand the project requirements for data management solutions supporting commercial operations.
- Understanding design, data management solutions and project feasibility and alignment with business objectives.
- Experience: The role typically requires 10+ years in IT project management with a focus on pharma commercial. Experience with pharma datasets like IQVIA, Veeva CRM, patient claims, or sales data, and working with cross-functional teams is essential.
- Project Management: Proven experience in managing IT projects using methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall is necessary.
- Deep understanding of the relevant tools and platforms like Databricks, Redshift, Tableau, Microstrategy, AWS, Azure or Google Cloud is required. Understanding of system integrations, data architecture, and ETL pipeline development
- Business Acumen: A strong understanding of commercial processes in the pharmaceutical industry and how data solutions support business objectives is crucial.
- Leadership & Communication: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills are needed for effective collaboration and influence with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Problem-solving: Strong analytical, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills to address complex challenges are expected
- Strong project management experience in Data & Analytic
- Solid background in the Pharma Commercial domain
- Hands-on experience with tools such as Snowflake, Databricks, Tableau, Power BI, and MicroStrategy
Compensation and Benefits
A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their work location, skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies. In addition, this role is eligible for the following benefits subject to company policies: medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, life, accidental death & dismemberment, and disability insurance; employee assistance program; 401(k) retirement plan; 10 days of paid time off per year (some positions are eligible for need-based leave with no designated number of leave days per year); and 10 paid holidays per year.
