In Memory Computing

In Memory Computing in its many forms refers to the use of direct memory instead of disks for the purpose of Storage and Computation.  When data is stored and processed directly from RAM, it improves the application performance and also reduces the overhead involved in accessing the disk or the file system and also reduces the application footprint by generating cleaner code with direct access to RAM and less overheads on data processing.
