CFD Based Temperature Prediction of a Sheet of Paper in a Printer

This whitepaper describes a methodology based on Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) developed to predict thermal behavior of a sheet of paper moving over a forced air cooled roller drum in a multi-purpose printer. Paper gets heated when the toner gets bonded to it. During continuous operation, the roller drum gets heated due to loading of papers, which is cooled by means of an exhaust fan. Main objective of this simulation task is to predict the exit temperature of a sheet of paper after passing over roller drum during continuous operation.
