RTOS (Real-Time Operating System) is an Operating System which responds or react within a certain deadline and has deterministic behaviour to the events and in producing the result.At present, RTOS are selected based majorly on vendor relationship and popularity more than the technical aspects.
This paper shows the significance of the technical aspects which plays a significant role in RTOS selection.This paper also compares important parameters which helps to derive the suitable RTOS.
